Transmission of Mycoplasma

Transmission of Mycoplasma

Mycoplasma is transmitted by direct mucosal contact during sexual activity, including vaginal and anal sex. Oral to genital transmission is unlikely due to the low incidence of oral infection.

Prevention

Mycoplasma infection can be prevented by using condoms correctly and consistently during vaginal, anal and, maybe oral sex.
