Balanitis check up

The examination of balanitis can be different. Here are some common balanitis examinations that are infected through sexual contact. Since inflammation occurs on the skin surface, swabs are usually taken from the infected part for genetic testing or/and culture of different bacteria.

Balanitis bacteria test

Balanitis can be caused by bacteria generally present in the vagina or intestinal tract, such as

• Gardnerella,

• Lactobacillus, etc.

Some STDs, such as chlamydia, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, etc., can also cause balanitis. Balanitis caused by this type may require concurrent antibiotic treatment.
